Volunteering

There are many ways to get involved in volunteering with the Andover Wheelers. The four main areas of volunteering are coaching, officiating, race support and club management.

Volunteering is all about choosing to help other people by giving up your time or expertise. There are many different types of volunteering activities and the different opportunities can involve people giving up several hours a week, or helping at one event when it is convenient for the volunteer.

Time trials will require the minmum of a Pusher and two Time Keepers, whilst Road Races dependant on their size and location require a number of commissaires.

As well as marshalls there will always be a requirement for administrative and support  roles at the Race HQ, this could involve registration or sharing your baking skills for homemade cakes to accompany the teas and coffee.

Andover Wheelers has a Club Committee to manage the everyday running of the club. Members of the committee are elected every year at the AGM, to fufil the roles of Club officers. If you feel that you could make a difference to club by being a Club Officer, then contact the Club Chairman.
